Call for Proposals

2017 Midwest Fall Technology Conference Call for Proposals

From October 22 to October 24, 2017, the Indiana HIMSS Chapter in partnership with the Iowa, Greater Chicago, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan HIMSS Chapters will have the honor of hosting the annual Midwest Fall Technology Conference at the JW Marriott Hotel and Conference Center, Indianapolis, IN.

The Midwest Fall Technology Conference (MWFTC) 2017 brings together our Midwestern community for three days to share our best practices and learn from subject matter experts over the direction the US healthcare is expected to take and how we can influence that direction. Topics covered are: Value, Mobile Health, Security and Privacy, Quality, Governance, Population Health, and Integration.

Our nation’s health care is at Crossroads, and we need your input on how to shape our healthcare system for the next decade. This Call for Abstracts is focused on health information technology (HIT) topics that would be of interest to the practice community as well as academic programs.   MWFTC draws over 400+ attendees each year consisting of CIOs, COOs, CEOs, directors of information systems, CMIOs, systems engineers, administrators, educators, and over 45 vendors.

The peer review process will evaluate the abstracts proposals based on the following criteria: interactive elements, speaker experience, and originality of the material, timeliness of the information, clarity, and educational value.

All abstracts must be submitted via the submission form available on this page by May 22, 2017.  Authors of accepted presentations will be notified on or about July 1, 2017.  Due to the highly competitive process, only a limited number of submissions will be selected for presentation at MWFTC 2017.

Please contact Josette Jones at if you have questions.

*** Please note: Indiana HIMSS will not cover travel/lodging costs for presenters but will provide complimentary registration to the event
